Mr. Mahjoub El Hiba

Mr. Mahjoub El Hiba was the Inter-Ministerial Delegate of Human Rights and former member of the Committee on Human Rights.Mr. El Hiba was the Secretary-General of the Advisory Human Rights Council (CCDH) from 2005 to 2011.He was also a member of the Equity and Reconciliation Commission and a member of the CCDH.Mr. El Hiba, holder of a Ph.D. (doctorat d’Etat) in political sciences, was the Assistant Dean of the Casablanca Faculty of Law from 1997 to 2000.He is a national and international consultant in environmental law, human rights, and information and communication international law. He is also a founding member of the Moroccan Organization for Human Rights (OMDH).Mr. El Hiba, who is a member and vice president of the Centre for Studies and Research in Migrations and Human Rights (CERMEDH), is a founding member of the Réseau marocain du droit humanitaire international (Moroccan network for international humanitarian law) and member of the Association Marocaine des sciences de la Mer (Moroccan association for marine sciences).

Mr. Elie El Baz

Mr. Elie El Baz was born in the city of Bejaâd, Morocco, in 1948. He is a Professor of Higher Education at the Faculté de droit de Casablanca, as well as Associate Professor at the Université de Bordeaux (centre d’études d’Afrique Noire). He holds a Ph.D. in public law and political science and a Ph.D. in history.Mr. El Baz continued his postgraduate studies at the université Paris-I, Pantheon- Sorbonne. He graduated from Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes, 4ème section : sciences religieuses. Mr. El Baz is an active member of the Association « Akwass » in Bejaâd. He works on fighting poverty and illiteracy, cultural, health, and education development.

Mr. Taoufik Berdiji, Chairperson of the CNDH’s Regional Commission of Laayoune- Sakia El Hamra

Mr. Taoufik Berdiji, Chairperson of the CNDH’s Regional Commission of Laayoune- Sakia El Hamra, was born in Tantan, Morocco in 1970.He holds a DESA en droit public (diploma of Higher Studies in public law).He also holds a PhD in political science in 2010 on “L’élite de la ville de Laâyoune” (The local elite of the city of Laayoune). He is a member of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (CORCAS) and works as an administrator in the municipality of El Marsa. He is the Vice President of the Ligue des droits humains à Laâyoune and a Secretary-General of the Réseau associatif forum Sakia Al-Hamra-Oued Eddahab pour le développement et la démocratie (associative network Sakia Al-Hamra Oued Eddahab Forum for Development and Democracy).Mr. Berdiji is the founding President of several associations including the Association Alibdaâ Assaharaoui  and the Association Tan-Tan pour le développement intégré, etc.

Mr. Ali Benmakhlouf

Mr. Ali Ben Makhelouf was born on 10 November 1959 in Fez, Morocco. He is a Moroccan writer and researcher. He is a Professor specialized in Islamic philosophy and logic philosophy.He taught at several universities, such as the Université Paris-Est Créteil, the Institut d'études politiques de Paris (Institute of Political Science in Paris), and at Vrije Universitieit Brussel (the Free University of Brussels). He is interested in analytical philosophy, and specializes in logic and the works of Frege, Russell and Whitehead. He is also interested in Islamic medieval philosophy.Mr. Ben Makhlouf was awarded the Ordre National du Mérite (France) by the Minister of Education (Vincent Peillon) in March 2014. He published several books on philosophy ,among which: “Pourquoi lire les philosophes arabes?” (Why read Arab philosophers), “La conversation comme manière de vivre” (dialogue as a way of life), etc.

Mrs. Soulma Taoud, Chairperson of the CNDH’s Regional Commission of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima

Mrs. Soulma Taoud, Chairperson of the CNDH’s Regional Commission of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima, was born in 1957 in Ksar El Kébir, Morocco. She is a University Professor and founding member of Amnesty international Morocco.She obtained a Bachelor degree in Physics, Division of Nuclear Physics, from the Faculty of Science at Mohammed V University in Rabat, Morocco in 1981. Mrs. Taoud also obtained a PhD in Material Science from the Central School at the Université de Nantes, France, in 1989.Mrs. Taoud is a Professor in the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science and Technology, Tangier, Morocco. She is a founding member of the Applied Physics Laboratory at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the same faculty.

Mrs. Fatima Aarach, Chairperson of the CNDH’s Regional Commission of Draa-Tafilalet

Mrs. Fatima Aarach, Chairperson of the CNDH’s Regional Commission of Draa-Tafilalet, was born in 1963 in Taza, Morocco.Mrs. Aarach is a Lawyer. She holds a Bachelor degree in private law from Mohamed V University in Rabat in 1992, and a certificate of competence to practice the legal profession.Mrs. Aarach is the head of the Réseau des Associations de Development de Sud-Est (RADOSE). She is also the Secretary-General of the Union de l’Action Féministe (Women’s Action Union), Errachidia section, and a member of the local coordination for the Reparations Program in Errachidia, Morocco. She is also responsible for the Center “Help" for women victims of violence and children in the region.

Mr. Mustapha Laârissa, Chairperson of the CNDH’s Regional Commission of Marrakech-Safi

Mr. Mustafa Laarissa, Chairperson of the CNDH’s Regional Commission of Marrakech-Safi, was born in 1955 in Marrakech. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from the Sorbonne University (Paris I, Panthéon-Sorbonne).Mr. Larissa is a qualified university professor at the Université Cadi Ayyad in Marrakech, Faculty of Arts, Department of Philosophy. He is also a member of the Political Analysis Club and member of the Fondation Abderrahim Bouabid.Mr. Larissa is also a member of the multidisciplinary laboratory "Culture, Heritage, Tourism" at Université Cadi Ayyad and a contributor to several scientific journals.
