The National Human Rights Council of Morocco (CNDH) will participate at the Environment Information Day: “From COP22 to COP23: review and prospects”, organized on 7 June 2017 in Belgrade. It is the initiative of the Moroccan embassy to the Republic of Serbia and the Serbian Ministry of Agriculture and environment protection.

This event will celebrate the World Environmental Day. It will be held mid-term of the COP22, and aims to create a dynamic of exchange on the environment and climate issues between Morocco, Serbia and the European Union.

It will provide the public with a better understanding of the issues addressed at COP22 and the various actions that remain to be undertaken by 2018.

Mr. Merouane Touali, head of Communication and advisor to the President of the CNDH, will represent the CNDH at this event. He will take part in a panel discussion on “the growing role of civil society in protecting the environment: example of the Moroccan experience”.

In addition to the CNDH, the COP22 presidency, the Moroccan Solar Energy Agency (MASEN) and the Moroccan Alliance for Climate and Sustainable Development, representatives from institutional, commercial, academic and associative world of Morocco, Serbia and the European Union will take part in this event.
