GANHRI displays the CNDH experience to counter the COVID-19 pandemic

National human rights institutions (NHRIs) around the world continue their efforts to ensure respect and protection of human rights in the current exceptional circumstances related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHRI) publishes the most important actions taken by NHRIs on its website to shed light on good practices of these institutions. These actions include the experience of the National Human Rights Council of Morocco (CNDH) in the context of the health emergency, particularly the ones related to protecting the rights of detainees.

The GANHRI established a platform to share and exchange best practices of 122 NHRIs in protecting human rights in the context of this pandemic.

Ms. Amina Bouayach, CNDH Chairperson, delivered a message to GANHRI members where she highlighted all actions and measures taken by the CNDH to ensure its missions related to awareness-raising, handling complaints, monitoring, and protecting human rights, particularly the rights of vulnerable groups.
